A dental implant is, in essence, an artificial tooth root that is surgically placed in the patient’s jaw to hold a single crown or full set of prosthetic teeth. Our dental implants consist of small titanium posts that are surgically placed directly where the missing or extracted tooth once had been. These implants serve as a lasting foundation beneath the gum line for the bridgework. More convenient than dentures that must be removed, dental implants require no special care. Simply brush and floss them like real teeth.
Dental implants vary in price, depending on whether the patient is replacing a single tooth or an entire bridge. They also vary from practice to practice. At Perfect Smiles for Less, we offer very competitive pricing, oftentimes as much as 50 percent the price of our leading competition. Because we are one of the few dental practices in the DFW area with an in-house laboratory, we are able to provide our patients a better value. Plus, we offer a variety of convenient payment plans.
You don’t have to wait for months to get a new mouth full of teeth. Dr. Kaar has developed a same-day procedure known as Immediate Function. This is a safe, cost-saving process that delivers the patient a set of functional teeth that will do everything you need your teeth to do all in under 24 hours. Thanks to our amazing leading edge technology, Dr. Kaar can provide you a beautiful smile all in one day. We complete the dental implant procedure while you are under local anesthetic. You just sit back and relax.
The length of time required for a dental implant procedure will vary based on the patient's oral health, bone density and number of teeth to be replaced. Some patients can receive their dental implant in one day, others will take as much as 3 to 6 months.
Most patients will have no more than 3 visits to Dr. Kaar to complete the procedure. At the initial consultation, we will conduct a thorough oral examination, complete with a 3DCT scan. We will discuss your options and map out the recommended treatment.
At the second visit, we will implant your dental implants and provide you with temporaries until your next appointment.
On your next appointment, your dental implants will be uncovered and an abutment, a small titanium piece that connects your dental implant to your prosthetic teeth, will be placed. Lastly, we will attach your beautiful new teeth.
